Sorry Jackie, but "deep dish pizza" is way too vague. As an example, I've had Ginos (east) and it is fantastic. I haven't tried Unos' but it looks pretty good, But I bought a Malnati deep dish and was massively unimpressed. If malnati wants my business back, he's gonna have to give me a free pizza, and it had better be good.

I voted for the Italian Beef, but if you had specified White Castle's at 2:00a, that might have changed things.

I went with the Italian Beef as well but that was pretty funny as I can totally relate to it.

No Johnnies has been there forever. New owner more then a few years ago. still good. Long line but it moves real quick.

    Edit

Connies beef was at Austin and North ave. Close awhile back was also was great. ( I thought it was the BEST beef place ever)

Holy shiit ... Polk Brothers ! Bought an Altec Lansing Stereo Receiver there. Took the North Ave bus to the end of the line and then had to walk the rest of the way.

Between the time of being a kid and being a teenager that area changed that much that I didnt realize I was in the same place but in two different periods of time.

Being a native of Las Vegas (NV) it's hard to find any of these. But several years ago I found a place with a great Italian beef, and another with a great deep dish. When the economy tanked they both went out of business.

The good news is just before this NFL season started, one of them opened back up just blocks from my house! Not only did they have their signature Chicago style deep dish, but they have Italian Beef! The aj jus to die for, but the hot giardiniera seals the deal!!!!! If you could physically taste a piece of heaven, it would taste like this. My only criticism is the cooks don't know what "dipped" means. So I just have to dump the aj jus on it myself, but not problem.

Also they play ALL the Bears games. So if there is non-televised game, I can always head over there.

One of my favorite places to eat is Miller's Pub on Wabash. Good food and good prices.
