I'm going with Fuller just because he can play safety
Could be what they see in him. If he is the pick at 14 I fully expect that he will get some TC and PS time at both CB and S
Pryor or Dix, if both are gone, then Donald. If all 3 are gone, punt.
Pompei says Mosely is the pick for the Bears, if Donald is gone, said he's talked to multiple teams and they are okay w/Mosely medical report and he's a clear top 10 talent if it wasn't for med concerns and he sticks out like a sore thumb at 14.
If Mosely is the real deal, I'm ok with it. I just want a difference maker, but then it pisses me off about last year. That means he wiffed on LB and we have to come back again. We can't keep going for the same positions we think we fixed during a draft and do it again next year or we will never fix stuff. Emery is really excellent in FA but so far mixed in the draft. Still clearly better than JA, so I can't complain. Or did I?
not really BiH, Greene wasn't guaranteed to turn into a starter, and again looking at top 10-15 LB's over since 2000 almost all came from the mid 1st, Bostic was going to have his work cut out for them there, but even of he works out, and Shea(which is a mulligan) they still needed a WILL to replace Briggs.
I gotta be honest I don't get the hype about Barr. I just don't see it.
And they also need a MLB. Sure Bostic still has a shot for it, but I just doubt it.
I get we need a MLB, but we have Williams who if healthy will be the day 1 starter. Safety is such a need. IF Mosely is going to be a stud I'm ok with it though...I just wouldn't be thrilled initially with it.
I would think between Mosely and Bostic one could play the MLB at least effectively if not really good.
I'm excited to see how this draft falls. Lets get this shit started
According to reports the Packers are making a hard push for Mosley. If that's true I'd love to draft him just to piss off GB once again. lol
We need help on every level of defense, if we can snag top 10 talent with the 14th pick I don't care where he lines up.

RT @slickrob10 If Bears do trade back can you see a safety or Ryan Shazier being the pick?... My thoughts:
I think that's a good call. Depending on how far back they move, the Bears still could be in position to get a defensive player who could help them quickly. There is a chance they could drop down a few spots and still have their pick of safeties Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Calvin Pryor. In my mock draft I have both of them available at 14. And there is a chance they could drop more than a few spots and have a chance at Ryan Shazier, an excellent linebacker prospect who would be a good fit in their defense, I believe. Other trade down possibilities would be linebacker C.J. Mosely if he falls a bit or the third cornerback (I'm guessing it's Darqueze Dennard but the order of how they will go is murky). Trading down is an attractive option for the Bears. I'm just not sure trading up to 14 is an attractive option for another Team.
Two guys I am sure are on Emery's radar.
Jason Verrett- CB- TCU 4th best CB 26th overall (could be their number one)
Jimmy Ward-SS -NIU best SS 33rd overall
Would not be surprised to see Emery's "I'm smarter than you" first rounder being either of these two
Here's how they could get both.
Bears trade down with Browns.
Browns give round 1-26 and 2-35 for Bears 1-14
EmeryKnightshamalampicks(as Lawrence Holmes calls them):
my opinion: big athletic freaks and combine warriorsw/huge upside and huge bust potential normally some kind of character flaw that drops them a bit
Find those guys and you'll find Emery's pick.
I certainly wouldn't mind Verrett, he's the best CB in this class and one of my personal favorite prospects.
Phil's first pick will be a surprise. :thumb:
