lol, it was a joke Soulman. Since I don't have any friends (well except for ricza), I was pretending that you had phoned in to Halas Hall to ask Trestman a personal question about the safety situation, and that he was personally responding to your question via a news leak to the media. Hence the title to my thread. Sometimes I pretend a lot.

Again with the caveat that no Bears safety is likely to go to the Pro Bowl, if Mundy is merely serviceably average then he's already light years better than Wright who can't even make any NFL team right now as a deep backup much less a starter. MW was horrifically bad last year and frankly wasn't very good the season before when Conte had looked pretty solid.

Having Major Wright hit the road was addition by subtraction just by itself.

Really? I think he is much better. Wright was awful.

Conte will be fine until he has to tackle Adrian Peterson or Reggie Bush or actually COVER in the cover-2. I don't see why people expect anything different this year than last. As you say elsewhere, if DL performs better, he'll just have fewer opportunities to screw up.

Yeah, he does everything better from what I can tell. He moves better, he's noticeably bigger, he's faster in reads and first step to the play, his routes to the tackle and in coverage are MUCH better.
