Bears - 23
Bengals - 20
I think both of these teams are playing improved opponents; however, the first couple of games are always sloppy and the winner will be the team that makes the fewest mistakes (more so than the rest of the season). Conventional wisdom for such games would be to select the team with the most experience in their system and familiarity with each other, which would thus give the edge to the Bengals. However, anyone that picks against their own team for the first game of the season (especially when there is no money riding on it) should be dosed with a bad case of body crabs.
What are you thinking Ric? Ditka came into TC for a visit, but he will not be on the sidelines, that I know of. If you have insider information to that effect, then I think your spread is a little low (-500 for the Bengals is about right)
And.....in capping off the ideal opening weekend of NFL action....
Ditto, word for word.
Home field, Bengals. More proven team, Bengals. Better overall talent on offense, Bengals.
With all that said,
