I'm gonna go with Cutler. If Cutler doesn't tunnelvision on Marshall and target Jeffery/Bennettx2 aswell we're gonna have a good season I feel like. (Ofcause Jeffery/Bennettx2 has to get open and catch the balls once it's thrown... it's a team game lol)
Bostic? Shea? Mills?
It's about the QB or LT in todays NFL. Take your pick.
No Cutler no success for sure
Same with every team very year. The QB.
If he goes down the team is usually screwed. Sure, there are exceptions to the rule, but generally speaking if you lose the person who touches the ball more than anyone else, you are in trouble.
So it is obviously Cutler.
When your offensive line can't block worth a damn it really doesn't matter if your QB is Cutler, Manning or Tebow.
We've got Pro Bowl LT but the right side of the line is still a question mark and Marshall, Jeffery and Bennett all need to stay healthy.
Cutler needs to focus and stop making bad decisions but it takes more than just one player to be successful in today's NFL.
Btw, this poll wasn't my idea. It's ESPN Chicago's Question of the Week. ;-)
Cutler on offense.
Peppers on defense. This defense thrives with him in there and he's healthy.
Jwebb on Vikes helps a lot. I would have voted for that.
This isn't Lovie's team anymore where ONLY the Superstars have the spotlight shine upon THEM whether it would be dim or bright.
This TEAM is BECOMING a TEAM AGAIN ! ! ! Where there is more than just the superstars coming into the foreground
no offense to the OP I did not make a choice ,.. I'll be honest I can't.
In listening to Phil and Trestman,..the both of these guys are ALL business and NO their jobs aren't complete ,..it's only just begun. They're building a team to go down into the ranks for someone to step up and play when need be ,... unlike the past
There's more to this team than who is listed here
I do have a feeling if McCown had to come in the game ,...we're all going to be pleasantly surprised ,.. ( knock on wood if that were to happen though ) . The decision at leaving him the number 2 QB has been questioned by the many, especially after seeing Palmer's performance ,... It's a brand new system across the board. What haven't we seen in McCown? YOU Have to wonder what's on Trestman's mind.
As a fan I wish , I hope I even pray that what little bit of fireworks we've seen on all sides of the ball this past preseason are mere shades and glimpses of what's to come in full fashion for the Beloved
IT's been a long time coming
BEAR DOWN ! ! !
Jay Cutler. We have Bush in case forte goes down, and if Marshall goes down(independent of Forte going down), we have a LOT of targets. McCown couldn't reach those targets if he were shooting cruise missiles at them.
If Jay Cutler goes down with a season ending injury = season over.
At that point we will have to endure a long, butt-ugly season. We'll end up bottom-feeders in the NFL-N.
The Bellwether for how well the Bears do on offense will be most easily seen in Cutlers' performance. Given that the Bears have to improve offensively if the team is to improve... well, there is your answer.
