WHY do you LOVE the Chicago Bears?

    I like them, because they are usually polite enough to let us all know at a relatively early point in the season, to not get our hopes up, for football in February.

    Because they are THE CHICAGO BEARS ... case closed.

    Y'know ... you could have been born a jacksonville fan.

    Yep. And the difference is this year that the usual late season collapse started about 4 weeks early.

    Everything around me tells me I'm a Bears fan (or Blackhawks - Cubs). When I'm out hunting and the sun comes up in the morning (or during a nice sunset) I see bears orange. During autumn the trees turn myriad shades of Bears orange and remind me that it's Bear weather. When it snows at Christmas, everything is Bears white. I look at the veins in my arms and I see Bears navy blue coursing through them.

    When I get injured I bleed blackhawks red. When I get depressed I feel Cubby blue (fitting isn't it?).

    When I see puddles of dog piss on the kitchen floor or green mold in the fridge I'm reminded of how much I hate the packers.

    Why do I love the Bears? It's nature.
