Should we be worried about him not coming back?

While I think everyone loves Mannelly, I just can't see long snapper as a big need overall. I'm more than willing to be patient.

We need him. A good snap is critical to a good or even a great punt

Mannelly is great and all, but he is getting up there in age. I hope he comes back, but I would understand if they chose to look at other options

All he does is long snap hahaha, he might be older but he has virtually no miles on him

No, but I'll be worried if your new avatar goes away.

He's actually a great value now that he is on social security. Even if he gets injured he's now covered under Medicare. Phil better sign the guy. :D

He's recovering from surgery and he's been given the option to return if he wants to. This is one of those times when Phil is actually serious about having "open arms". It may be May or June before Mannelly decides but if he wants to return they want him back.

That's really at the bottom of it JJ and it's basically what I've read that Manelley said as well. He hasn't made his mind up yet and the Bears are giving time to do that.

long snappers are like punters. There are a ton of them.

Hartson is on the roster now and he filled in last year and did well. We never even noticed the difference.
