No more overpriced cast offs or retreads...our eventual franchise QB is still playing college ball right now...not sure who he is, but I know he's out there...

How about a trade and a kick in the nuts? This sounds like Angelo is back.

Ha ha, I'll bite. I'm a huge Jay fan, but if Roethlisberger was 5 years younger I would actually entertain the idea. I don't see Jay as a franchise QB now. Lovie screwed him of that over the past years. Jay's taken too many hits and it's catching up to him. Jay has maybe 2 more years in him, but I only see him getting more injured and not playing as well as he could. Roethlisberger IMO is more durable, but he's near the end too.

I'd trade a late round pick for him. Of course that won't be his price, but the point is that Ben has value and a proven track record. Just like when you negotiate with an older player, there is a price that is worthwhile for the team to enter discussions.

In the past, yes. Now, no. He's big and sturdy, but as others have pointed out, he doesn't have a lot of years left in him, not to mention he'll be getting hit a lot harder and a lot more often than he did in Pittsburgh.
