but the fact is, nothing will happen. Maybe a fine? But he isn't going to jail or a court case for it.
this is just the big " dumb people do dumb stuff" news story of the day.

There could be a court case if he presses charges. Was it dumb of this bigot POS to do something like this? Sure was. All depends on what Martin wants to do. He is well within his rights to press charges. It does not matter if the threat was serious or not. If Martin feels his family is in danger, that is all that matters.

LOL yes Martin is dumb as well. He ignores Richie and none of this happens. You have to be dumb to be bothered what someone tweets to you.

So if someone threatens your family, you are going to ignore it?

I do not know where you work or what you do for a living Rams (nor do I care).

But HYPOTHETICALLY a co-worker of yours who has been harassing you, making racial remarks to you ect. threatens to kill your family. Are yo going to just take it in stride? If he threatens to murder your wife (if you have one) or murder your children (if you have any)... or are you going to report it to your boss? Report it to HR? Call the cops? Or are you going to kick his ass (which would get you arrested)?

again, ..so what ? I didn't say it was ok or normal. The person doing it would be fired but you have to prove intent to have a real legal problem. I could type " I hate ******" and "i'm going to kill you " all day on the internet but unless intent and racism can be proven of the person typing those things its just a bunch of nothingness.

"I don't know if he'll ever play a down in the National Football League again." Ray Lewis on Richie Incognito's future.

The more that's been coming out tonight....threatening his mother, him, using racial slurs in reference to him? That's some straight up illegal/antisocial **** that does NOT belong in a work place. There's literally NO workplace in America in which his behavior is, in any way, acceptable. If he does play, I hope he goes to the Lions and has to block Suh in practice.

If you call a black man a ******* you are a racist.

And fair warning. You ever type that out on the board again (making a point or not) I will ban you immediately

Obviously the klansman was photoshopped in, but the Easiest teammate to scare was legit. Doesn't seem so innocent in retrospect..

threats are only against the law if intent can be proven. Incognito is not done in the NFL if he can still bring it next year.

sorry but I typed it to prove a point... I didn't call anyone said N word...my screen name is my first sports hero= a black Wide receiver from the 70s... And no, you cant call someone a racist just because they call someone the N word.

Intent and personal belief has to be proven. I don't see Riley Cooper being carted off on a stretcher since he came back into the league ...and I didn't see the NFL ban him for life for saying the N word either.

Like I said, I don't care if you are trying to make a point or not. That is one of the few no no words on this board no matter the location. You use it again you will be banned.

And yes, calling a black man that word is.

As is calling a Mexican the S word, a Chinese man the c word... And so on.

If you did not mean it as an insult you would not use it

Honestly, I don't think he knows better, because he made a REALLY disrespectful comment about Native Americans.

it doesn't matter if you use it as an insult or not. Using the word does not prove that the person who used it is racist.

sorry dude but i'm giving you legal and logical fact. You cant just throw the word racist around without hardcore proof. It is just a word unless you prove the guy has a history of distict racist beliefs and actions and simply calling someone names to be a jack ass does not prove racism

no, the legal system would agree with me also. You have to prove someones true over all beliefs. Spouting words out of anger, spite or facetiousness mean nothing
