Why on earth would we need that guy?!

The Houston signing was great but now I think Emery doesn't know what he's doing.

Don't you think we've got enough WR depth?

We signed a young returner from the CFL, Tolliver is unproven but has ideal size and Marquess Wilson will have a bigger role next season.

Again, why on earth do we need that old dude?

he's on the radar, doesn't mean they aren't looking elsewhere. The guy is a solid depth guy, i'm guessing b/c Earl is about to get cut also.

Yea i think Earl is gone too, not that Earl is a bad player but I think Emery likes bigger taller wr's to create mismatches on smaller cornerbacks and safties etc........also I think Wilson will have bigger role next season which will take playing time away from Earl.

I don't think that is so much an Emery thing as it is a Cutler thing, he's always had an affinity for tall "go up and get it" WR's over smaller faster guys, it's one of the many reasons Hester was such a fail 1st and foremost he wasn't a good WR, 2nd and much farther down the line, his QB doesn't throw quick accurate timing routes for smaller faster wr's

Even if Earl Bennett leaves Tolliver and Wilson are younger versions of this guy, am I missing something?
