30 years old 7 catches last year for 55 yards and he was not the returner for Carolina last year.

    Does these even make sense?

When it comes to offense, I should know better than to question any moves Emery or Trestman are making, but I am.

depending on the money, why not? Chances are they are cutting Earl to save cap space and Hixon is an upgrade over Earl. This might also indicate the team isn't sure Wilson is ready yet.

I'm sorry, but he's NOT an upgrade over Bennett. Hixon doesn't make sense AT ALL!

I really don't see a problem with this. he's about the same age as Weems, who has been NOTHING special here, yet he's 5 inches taller and his stats show he had a couple of decent years in NY. Carolina didn't really use him much, but on the few occasions that they did, he did OK. Is he as good as Bennett? Well, I would tend to say no, but Bennett hasn't been showing a lot the last couple of years either and he's been used more than Hixon. It might not be a bad replacement for Bennett, plus some coin savings.

If he's Weems' replacement I'm okay with it. But if Emery signs him and then releases Bennett I'm gonna be pissed.

    Hixon (29) played 15 games last season: 7 receptions, 55 yards, 1TD.

Bennett (26) played also played 15 games last season: 32 receptions, 243 yards, 4 TDs.

No way in hell is Hixon a better player than Bennett.
