Hey everyone, Packer fan here
Hello Bears fans,
I'm a reasonable Packer fan that has come simply to be a part of another community. Sure, it's a rival's community, but this is a rivalry that I value more than any other. It's the oldest, most respected rivalry in the NFL. It doesn't come down to trash talking and hatred, like our rivalry with the Vikes. It doesn't come down to pity, like our rivalry(?) with the Lions. This one is good.
Anyways, I plan on sticking around for awhile as I've been to other Bears forums, and this one seems like the one where I'd least likely get flamed, and people might actually respond to me. I respect your fans (my dad is from Gary, IN and is a fan of da Bears), and I respect the history behind your team. I look forward to some good back and forth between us.
Forgive me if I get a little defensive sometimes, after all, it is still a rivalry.

THIS is true. You'll still get slightly burnt... a tad bit torched... but you won't get full on flamed.
However... on Sunday, after we win, you may want to avoid this place for a day or so. These guys aren't gonna like us very much and I am pretty confident that the "hate" you haven't seen (yet) is gonna bubble up to the surface.

Haha, that's okay. I can handle some sizzle.
If we lose, I'm going to come back and congratulate you fair and square, I won't shy away. If we win, I'm not going to rub it in your face, but I may be a little smug about it. Naturally, I think the latter is more likely. :)

Make sure your feet are firmly planted before you try to juke. Once you stumble, they're like friggen rabid hyenas around here!
Nah... they ain't that bad**. Just keep it civil and you will always be ok. If someone gets "less" than civil with you, let one of the staff know. Even though this is a board for Bears fans, they are expected to be civil to rival fans...

I know, haha. I know what can happen, just based on the storms that hit Bears fans when they've come to some of the Packers forums I frequent. Fortunately, like you, I'm a civil person, and I'm here for a good discussion, not to p*** anyone off. That's why I came to this forum as opposed to all the other Bears forums out there. As you can see, I've actually been a member here for a few months, never posting, just checking the place out. I like it here. (I'm sure most of the guys here don't like hearing that a Packer fan is comfortable here, lol)
