Thanks mate.
I'll be up front in saying that I've been a long time NFL fan, but have always struggled to commit my allegiance with a team. I'd flirted with a few teams over the journey, but couldn't find myself developing the love for that particular team.
Long story short, over the past few years I have decided on the Bears. I like the history of the club and I enjoy the game style that Lovie Smith has the team playing at the moment. Over the past year or two, I've found myself getting 'that feeling' when we score or make a big play. When that happened, I knew I was hooked.
I've also followed Jay Cutler for some time now - as a fellow person with Type 1 Diabetes, I have been very interested in his story and think he has big potential.

How often do NFL games get broadcast in Australia?

It's not uncommon to have 3-4 games on a week at the moment - we have 3 Fox Sports Channels plus ESPN 1 and 2, so here are a few channels for them to use. I think the NBA lockout is enabling them to show games a bit more regularly though.
We get a bunch of the NFL panel/recap shows though.

The Bears vs Eagles game is definitely on the box here on ESPN. Unfortunately it's on at 12.30pm but I have it scheduled for record and will be checking the scores at work, don't worry about that!
The good lady friend and I were considering a trip to the US in 2013, with Chicago on the menu, but we have a lot of organising to do before then!

Ah yes what did people do before DVRs and recording TV the easy way.
Let us know if you are coming state side, I'm not local to Chicago but we have a lot of good people on here that are and can point you to the must-see areas.
