Hi i'm from Montreal and have been following Trestman's journey with the alouettes. Having him in Chicago now makes me a Bear fan and I hope he can win a super bowl in his rookie season. Me and my dad went to Soldier Field for the final game of 2009 when Da Bears beat Favre and the Viqueens. Glad to be here. Go Bears Go.

Great to have you on the site, have any insight into our new Head Coach or what we are in for?

You are in for a whale of a season i hope. This guy came in to montreal when no one in football would touch him. He was given a chance by our long time GM and helped us host 5 consecutive home playoff games. Four first place finishes and 2 championships. No one else has come close in our league in the last 5 years. He is a Bud Grant scholar and came in a little green in the canadian game but showed flexibility and helped players achieve their utmost success. Obviously the nfl is a different level and i read an Oakland receiver criticize that he was good with Xs and Os but he wasn't a good motivator. I think his 5 years here will have helped change that aspect as he had to deal with players on a more personal level.
The Alouettes and Bears once played an exhibition game here august 5 1961 which the Bears won 34-16. The only NFL team our CFL team ever played. In our stadium entrance we have a frame dedicated to that game. So I believe it's karma that these two teams should reunite in this way. Bears and Alouettes now share another common bond.

That's (bolded above) all that we could ever hope to hear. Oh, and don't worry about Tim Brown not liking being benched by Trestman in favor of a now Hall of Famer....I think that statement is a LITTLE biased.

I'm actually born in NYC. Been a Giants fan for the most part and winning 4 super bowls was great but it looks like we're done for a while. They certainly didn't deserve to repeat and all the whining from spoiled Giants fans is getting tiresome.

Gidday from the valley. I live along the great ottawa river and a diehard CFL/ Tiger cat / Blackhawk fan and was interested in the packers. But since you now have one of the best coaches in pro football. I can't help but jump on the band wagon and will be watching as trestman take the bears to a new level. If the team gets into his way of doing things ,nothing but great things will happen.
